The drills on the KanjiDrill site require that the readings are entered in Katakana for the 'On' readings and in Hiragana for the 'Kun' and 'Okurigana' readings. To assist you in this, the site uses special input controls that automatically convert romaji into the proper kana. Please refer to the following chart for details of the romaji to kana conversion mappings.
